Sie können Ihren Public Key anderen Menschen mitteilen, damit diese Ihnen Bitcoins auf Ihr Wallet überweisen können.

Kann man nur im Internet mit Bitcoins zahlen?
Nein, mit Bitcoins können Sie heutzutage auch offline Transaktionen durchführen. Aktuell ist dies noch nicht bei vielen Stellen möglich, aber auch hier tut sich derzeit viel.
In Berlin bieten beispielsweise mehr und mehr Unternehmen eine Zahlung per Bitcoin an. Einige Bars, Taxis und Flughafentransportdienste weltweit haben ebenfalls schon die Voraussetzungen für diese Zahlungsart geschaffen.
Oben haben wir schon Subway erwähnt. Vereinzelt gibt es lokale Anbieter, meist in größeren Städten, die eine entsprechende Zahlungsoption haben.

Kostet es eine Gebühr, wenn ich mit Bitcoin zahle?
Ja, wenn Sie mit Bitcoin bezahlen, fällt eine Gebühr an. Diese ist allerdings sehr gering. Um zu erklären, wofür sie erhoben wird, muss man wissen, wie Bitcoin entstehen und was die Blockchain ist.
Wie entstehen Bitcoins?
Kryptowährungen werden durch die Blockchain-Technologie generiert. Vereinfacht erklärt, passiert dabei Folgendes: Viele Miner (Schürfer) arbeiten an einer Rechenaufgabe und erstellen so einen Block.
In der Blockchain reiht sich ein Block an den anderen, es handelt sich also – wie der Name schon sagt – um eine Kette von Blöcken. Dadurch, dass so viele Menschen am Mining beteiligt sind, wird die Richtigkeit und Sicherheit der Blockchain gewährleistet. Die Übersicht über das große Ganze bleibt immer erhalten.
Für das Mining, also das Schürfen der digitalen Währung und die Erweiterung der Blockchain, erhalten die Miner eine Belohnung, die aktuell 6,25 Bitcoin pro Block beträgt. Weil sie am Mining beteiligt waren, erhalten sie aber auch darüber hinaus für jegliche Transaktionen, die mit den Coins ihres Blocks durchgeführt werden, eine geringe Gebühr.
Insofern fällt für jede Zahlung mit Bitcoin eine Gebühr an, die aber sehr gering ist und nur wenige Cents beträgt.

Kann man sich Bitcoins auszahlen lassen?
Bei Kryptowährungen handelt es sich nicht um physisches Geld. Sie können damit aber dennoch Dinge und Dienstleistungen kaufen bzw. bezahlen. Die Transaktion ist dann vergleichbar mit einer Kreditkarten- oder EC-Kartenzahlung.
Sie können die Coins zum Bezahlen von einer Wallet zur anderen übertragen. Aber in dem Sinne, wie Sie sich Geld am Automaten abheben, können Sie sich Bitcoins nicht auszahlen lassen.
Es gibt zwar Bitcoin-Automaten (derzeit noch nicht in Deutschland), bei denen Sie Coins kaufen können. Das funktioniert derart, dass Sie dort Geld einzahlen und dafür Bitcoins auf Ihr Wallet übertragen bekommen. Bitcoins abheben und sich die digitale Währung in einer Transaktion auszahlen lassen können Sie dort jedoch nicht.
